Had a great boulder session at Hang yesterday after our Swanage plans fell through. I really enjoy the style of problems there across all grades and in particular the comp holds for almost all problems. A very nice gym with lots on offer in a relatively small space. It was also great to see Leanne enjoying the gym on her first visit. Not quite ready for the Moon board, unfortunately! Got to introduce @t_hell_ye to indoor climbing at City Rock in Johannesburg. We ended up staying for 5 hours until our forearms stopped working. Mainly bouldering with a top rope intro for Trevor and a bit of auto belay for me. A quality gym with some good problem / route settings. Trail running at Cradle Moon Game Farm with @t_hell_ye . It was such an amazing experience running through the bushveld. We mixed segments of the red and yellow routes, which allowed us to roughly circumnavigate the farm in just over 20km. So awesome to have climbed on Table Mountain again. Got the tick on 2 mega classics - Jacobs Ladder and Atlantic Crag. Big thanks to @kayu_guiding for being a stellar guide and facilitating an amazing day. Great to be back in the Mother City- Cape Town! A slightly out of season trip and one that didn't have the best starts as I managed to pick up some local flu on arrival. Feeling better now and enjoying time with family and reconnecting with this amazing place. A nice trip to Portland over Easter. Nice cruisy climbing, enjoying the flow of movement and being on the coast. It's also great to feel my aerobic base returning. Certainly looking forward to the season ahead. So nice to be out climbing again post Covid infection. My cardio is still not quite there so we opted for short and sweet on Portland. A stunning day yesterday on the isle. Looking forward to the season ahead ☀️ One of the last climbs from our trip to Costa Blanca and it felt fitting to get on some orange limestone. An amazing setting up in the Sierra de Toix amphitheatre. Late afternoon session at Bellús. There are quite a few steep routes here and it was good to jump on a few 💪 routes, albeit the easier ones 🙈. I normally stay way from the bicep symbol in the guide book and stick with technical routes - which plays into my strengths. Looking to work more on on the weaknesses this year 💪👊
